gloriously fine!
You know that you haven't blogged in too long when you forget your password, either that or you have a bad memory. Both of which are true in my case. Anyways life is going by seemingly fast recently. I've been taking classes with Liberty University for the past 8 weeks, so that's been fun. The classes were English 101 and Philosophy 104. I think I did better in Philosophy but the end grades didn't show up yet. I'll find out in about a week or so.
Anyways tonight I made an amazing dinner for my family with Rebekah. It was balsamic chicken, cheese bread, rice, and carrots. I had been feeling the urge to cook for a while but hadn't had the opportunity since I was so busy with juggling homework and work at JoAnn's. Today I got my fill though with baking in the morning and dinner prep tonight. I think now I'll actually start sewing! I need to get a dress made for Rebekah. We got some free material from a lady who comes into JoAnn's sometimes. She brought a bin of fabric and other oldish sewing stuff so I took along 2 bags for the girls to sort through. Rebekah found some nice material so I'll be working on her dress this week while I have time off of school.
Well now I'm going...
and will be back...
someday...
the good news choir
perty cool
been good
That's it! Life is good, beautiful etc. We're up at Diane's right now getting ready to watch High School Musical 2. I also have my laptop up here so I can get some homework done.
Yesterday I visited home and took pics of the trees covered in ice. It's really pretty but I know it's not very good for the trees. Papa and I are working on some songs to record in the studio. Today when the family came for church he and I got to sit down for a while and practice. I was kind of disappointed cause we were going to record but since I have a cold, my voice was about an octive lower than usual. LOL
Okay well I've got to look some things up online for class tomorrow.
Thanksgiving Season!!!
I'm so happy!! We had such a nice Thanksgiving here at home with some relatives. I was really looking forward to the day the closer it got and it definitely wasn't a disappointment, except for the fact that it's over now. :-) I even put a few candles around the house and Rebekah made wassel which always gives the atmosphere a nice homey smell, besides all the rich food!! God is so good to us, I just praise Him for how gracious He always is to provide for us from one day to the next and year after year. What an awesome Lord we serve!
Tonight is the end of my very full and enjoyable break. Settling back into the ruitine back at school may take a little getting used to since I've been home for almost a week. Although, it won't be nearly as hard as it will be though after Christmas break. Oh boy!! We've got a whole three weeks or so off. Anyways I'm driving back to Fairwood in my truck since Aunty Kathy brought it back up from NJ with her on Thanksgiving.
During this break I've been working on my presentation for the desert banquet which I actually should be working on right now. :-) Anways I put pictures and words to an instrumental version of "Joy to the World" . I used Windows Movie Maker and am very pleased with the way it turned out! Now I still have to fill up 2 or 3 minutes though as it has to be 5 minutes long.
Okay well I'd better run!
Rachel
I'm back!!!
Did anyone miss me?LOL I know I've been really bad at blogging lately. Anyways I'm all settled in at Fairwood for my second year of Bible School. I still haven't quite come to grips with the fact that yes indeed I am a second year student and now there are first year students in whose class I am not in. (I hope I worded that correctly.) Anyways I'm actually quite happy with the way my room is arranged and all as Megan was kind enough to rearrange it for me when we went out sailing two Saturdays ago. It has a nice comfy chair in it now and the way the furniture is arranged it just feels more homey now. I don't know why I got into that but yes I'm feeling very content to be back and hopefully becoming a better Bible scholar every day. :-)
The weather up here is simply lovely. I don't remember in recent years the weather being so mild in October although I may be wrong. All the trees are turning as well which makes a very pretty picture. Actually I got to enjoy the colors on a larger scale as we climbed Mt Monadnock on Tuesday afternoon and I got to take some pictures from the top of the mountain. I'll have to upload some of them onto my blog sometime.
Oh yes, I did end up getting the truck I told you all about. Although now I'm having second thoughts about it. I'm actually thinking of bringing it home and leaving it there for my dad. I think it would be better for me to have a small economy car that's not very expensive and is good on gas especially since I don't have much time to use the truck anyways it's just a huge piece of equipment being left to rust. Maybe Papa can help me figure out my dilema and maybe take the truck off my hands.
Okay well I'm going to sign off now I hope that satisfies some of your curiosity of what all I've been up to. LOL
flyin' by
This summer seems to be just going by way too fast. Before I know it I'll be heading back to Bible School and I don't even feel like I've had a summer yet. That might be partly because I've been working three days a week and the other days I'm catching up on things at home. I've really enjoyed my job at the daycare though. The kids are very friendly and obedient (most of the time).
Papa and I looked at a Chevy truck last night down in MA. It's in mint condition and the guy who owns it has cared for it meticulously. All the running gear is in awesome shape. It does have around 100 thousand miles on it but is probably only half through it's life. I think I'm going to get it. I've worn myself out trying to find a bargain car but all the ones I've seen need so much work it's not even worth it. This truck will serve me well and I won't have fix anything before getting it on the road. Bless God this is such an answer to prayer!!!
Well I have to run....
Hopefully I'll keep up better on my blogging now but no guarantees. :-)
licence!!!
I know it's kind of late but I haven't been online much....I did it though! Got my licence that is. It was two weeks on Wednesday. A few days later when I was up at Fairwood for the Youth Convention Papa brought up the truck for me. That was super nice as it was my first longer trip without another adult in the car.
Since then I've made some trips mostly errands for Mama. I also worked at the bakery once last week which put another 70 miles under my belt. :-) I was actually surprised that it was that far but anyways it was worth it since I stocked the store up with baked goods. They still don't need anything in the freezer probably until next week but it's been nice to have that to work on.
Also some very super exciting news....like all the other news of course. :-) I'm going to a retreat next month for three days. I can't wait! Many of my Brazilian friends should be there so it'll definitely be nice spending some time with all of them.
Other than that today Jussara's been helping me with some landscaping and there's lots more to do!! Well I need to run...
